Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Penang / Bangkok / Chiangmai (L/D)
Assemble at Penang International Airport for flight to Chiangmai. Upon arrival, transfer for lunch. After lunch, tour to Doi Suthep Temple, built in 1383 by King Gue-Na on a plateau commanding an impressive view of the city of Chiang Mai, Thailand's northern capital. The temple contains a pogada that houses a part of the holy relics of the Buddha. Buddhists from around the world come here to worship. Overnight in Chiangmai.
Day 2: Chiangmai (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to Mae Taman Rafting - enjoy the Elephant Ride through the jungle about 1 hour and Ox Cart Ride about 20 minute. View the beautiful countryside along the Mae Taman River by Raft. After lunch, proceed to Orchid Farm. Then tour continue to Handicraft Village, where you find small factories producing the famous Chiangmai umbrella, Saa paper, wooden furniture, silverware, Thai silk and Lacquerware. Dinner & Overnight in Chiangmai.
Day 3: Chiangmai –Sukhothai – Phitsanulok (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to ancient city, Sukhothai by coach. Sukhothai Historical Park is the main attraction in Sukothai Province. Located 12 kilometres from Sukothai town on the Sukhothai-Tak Highway, the Historical Park is a place of ruins and temples although certainly part of Thailand’s heritage, it also regarded as a World Heritage site under the auspices of UNESCO and the Thai Fine Arts Department. Next tour continue visit to 1, Wat Si Chum and Amkhamheang National Museum. After tour, continue drive to the lower northern part of Thailand, Phitsanulok. Upon arrival, visit Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat. This monastery, commonly, called by the inhaitants as "Wat Yai",is the most important monastery of Phitsanulok. The home of the Famous Phra Buddha Chinnarat. It is located the foot of Naresuan Bridge on the city side of the river. Then continue visit to King Naresuan the Great Shrine. The King Naresuan the Great Shrine is located at the site which was once the Chan Palace , the birthplace and residence of Naresuan the Great. Within the shrine is a statue of the king in the posture of declaring independence from Burma. Overnight in Phitsanulok.
Day 4: Phisanulok / Bangkok – Ayuthaya – Bangkok (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight back to Bangkok. Upon arrival, transfer to old historic capital of Siam, Ayuthaya. Upon arrival, transfer for lunch. After lunch, begin our tour to Bang Pa In Summer Palace, The palace dates back to the 17th century, pre-dating the establishment of Bangkok as the capitol, although it did fall into disuse for a long period. All the buildings you see date from its revival by King Mongkut (Rama IV) in the 19th century. Today, the palace is only used infrequently, and then mostly for state occasions rather than as a royal summer residence. Continue visit to Wat Yai Chai & Wat Phra Maharat. After that, transfer back to Bangkok. Dinner and overnight in Bangkok.
Day 5: Bangkok (B/L/D)
After breakfast, explore a rural life of countryside of Thai farmer and famous Floating Market Dumnersaduck. After lunch, free for shopping at Chatuchak Weekend Market.
Day 6: Bangkok (B)
After breakfast, free at own leisure.
Day 7: Bangkok / Penang (B)
After breakfast, free till transfer to airport for flight back to Penang.
