Khmer Kitchen is a restaurant serving reasonably-priced authentic Khmer dishes. I am recommending it in AsiaExplorers because I find it is simply the best place for dinner in Siem Reap -- I am giving this endorsement without receiving any form of payment or reward from the establishment. Since discovering Khmer Kitchen, my girlfriend (now wife) Chooi Yoke and I were drawn to have our dinner there, night after night. The service is some times prompt, some times slow, but we are patient, because the food is tasty.
The dishes are simple, and prices between US$1.50 to US$2.50. We just order 1-2 dishes, to be taken with rice. The bill comes to about US$6-7 per meal of two, very reasonable and tasty.
Khmer Kitchen.
Khmer Kitchen is located on one of the alleys north of the Old Market. I have since recommended it to many of my friends going to Siem Reap, and the majority came back saying they enjoyed it.
