Krol Romeas Travel Tips
Krol Romeas is a small Angkor monument. It is located on the eastern edge of the East Baray. It is not sure whether Krol Romeas was built to be a temple, or for other functions.
The water management of East Baray resulted in the change in the function of Krol Romeas, and scientists from the Greater Angkor Project (a collaboration of the APSARA Authority, the University of Sydney, and the École Française d'Extrême-Orient ) are still studying it. I am also trying to piece together information surrounding this ruin. According to some documents, Krol Romeas was built as a water outlet for the baray. Perhaps it is a gate that controls the amount of water being let out (or in) between the baray and the channels / drains.
How to get to Krol Romeas
Krol Romeas is on the north side of Angkor Thom, between Angkor Thom and Preah Khan.
