The Australia Pavilion at Expo 2010




The Australia Pavilion at Expo 2010 is inspired by the world-famous Ayers Rock. It features cylinder-like structures with red ochre walls made from a special type of steel. The ochre façade will actually change colors according to the temperature and humidity of the site.

The Australia Pavilion comprises three sections called Journey, Discover and Enjoy. They encapsulates practically every aspect of Australian life, showcasing the country's picturesque landscape, vibrant economy and rich cultural heritage.

At the heart of the Australia displays is a mini documentary series called Sisters. The series showcase true stories of 21 inspirational women from Australia and China, to show a bridge in similarity between the two countries.
