Pingwu is a town on the route between Mianyang and Jiuzhaigou. In this town is the huge Bao Ern Temple. We visited it on the way to Jiuzhaigou. The layout of Bao Ern Temple is like the Forbidden City of Beijing on a smaller scale. Nevertheless, Bao Ern Temple is still a huge temple. Among the historical treasures within Bao Ern Temple is a Kuan Yin image with many hands that was carved from a single block of wood.
