The Chinese Military History Museum is a museum of the People's Liberation Army of China. It is also called the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution. Located at 9 Fuxing Lu, Haidian, it is unfortunately close to Muxidi, the site where the army gunned down countless civilians during the 1989 democracy demonstration.
The Chinese Military History Museum is a place steep in Communist iconography. You can see paintings of Mao Zedong, as well as Karl Marx, Lenin and Stalin. Also exhibited are out-of-service jet fighters, tanks and surface-to-air missiles. The top floor of the museum documents the many accomplishments of China's military.
How to reach the Chinese Military History Museum
Take the subway to the Junshi Bowuguan station.
