The French Pavilion at Expo 2010

The France Pavilion at Expo 2010 looks like a wire cage. Its theme is The Sensual City. The pavilion is intended to resemble a white floating palace. It is covered with a white lattice which is made of a special concrete.

At the centre of the pavilion is a French-style garden, with streams flowing within it, complete with small fountains and water gardens. Visitors can even hear birds singing, smell the fragrance of flowers, and sample tasty hors-d'œuvres. The surroundings are permeated with the ambience of a French city, so that visitors would feel as though they really are in France.

The France Pavilion has its own mascot, the cat Léon, who will be on hand to welcome and interact with the visitors. A special French wedding, usually conducted in the city of Tours, will be done at the France Pavilion this year.
