The Singapore Pavilion at Expo 2010




The Singapore Pavilion at Expo 2010 features a rotund structure that is supposed to be a music box of sorts. The theme of the pavilion is "Urban Symphony", and is inspired by the unique elements in Singapore, among them progress and sustainability, urbanization and greenery, tradition and modernity, and a cosmopolitan mix of its people.

Walking thorugh the Singapore Pavilion, you have the distinct feeling of walking in a shopping mall. The structure is supported by four columns, each individually designed. At the roof top is a "Hanging Garden" with music fountains and mysterious plants, to epitomize the unique garden-city Singapore experience.
