South China Mall is a gigantic mall that was built in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China. With 7.1 million square feet of leaseable space planned for 2,350 outlets, it is the biggest shopping mall in the world, and second only to Dubai Mall in terms of size. Unfortunately the mall has remained almost completely vacant, save for a few outlets near the entrance since its opening in 2005.

South China Mall is divided into seven districts based on different exotic locations of the world, namely San Francisco District, Rain Forests District, Caribbean Sea District, Amsterdam District, California Beach District, Champs Elysees Avenue and Venice District.
The poor choice of location is said to be the main contributing factor to the low occupancy of South China Mall. It is located outside downtown Dongguan, and can only be reached by car. There is also no major road arteries connected to it.
