Mid-levels (半山區, map) is an upscale residential area in Hong Kong. It derives its name from its location mid way between Central and Victoria Peak. The neighbourhood is bound by Caine Road, Bonham Road, Upper Albert Road and Kennedy Road to the north, Conduit Road to the south, Hong Kong University to the west and Wan Chai to the east.

Mid-levels become a choice of the rich and famous of Hong Kong due to its unsurpassed views of Victoria Harbour. Its proximity to Central and Admiralty are other advantages. The Mid-levels neighbourhood is also said to have better air quality compared to other places in Hong Kong Island, making it desirable for those who can afford to live there. Apartments in Mid-levels costs a few million Hong Kong dollars, with the top ones having been sold for as much as two hundred million Hong Kong dollars.
How to go to Mid-levels
The nearest MTR stations are the Sheung Wan MTR Station (Island Line, Tseung Kwan O Line) and Central MTR Station (Island Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, Tsuen Wan Line). From there, it may be easier to go on foot. The Central-Mid-levels Escalator allows you to go up the steep slope in the Central and Mid-levels area without tedious climbing.

The longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world covering 800 meters and an ascend of 135 meters. - Flagstaff House Museum of Teaware
A branch of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, this museum is housed in the Flagstaff House, built in the 1840s as the residence of the Commander of the British Forces in Hong Kong, now housing the Museum of Tea Ware. - Hong Kong Park
A 80,000 sq m park next to Cotton Tree Drive. - Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre
Centre providing support for the local art creation. - Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens
Opened in 1862, this is one of the oldest zoo and botanical gardens in the world. - Hop Yat Church
Church at 2 Bonham Road with a history going back to 1862. Present building dates back to 1924. - Immaculate Conception Church
Roman Catholic church at 16 Caine Road dating back to 1843. - Jamiah Masjid
An old mosque at the corner of Mosque Street and Shelley Street, easily reached by the Central-Mid-levels Escalator. - Kom Tong Hall
