The Ahilyabai Ghat is located south of Dashaswamedh Ghat, between Ranamahal Ghat and Munshi Ghat. When it was built in 1778, it was the first ghat to be named after a person, in this case, Queen Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore who constructed it as well as Visvesvara Ghat in 1778.

I passed through Ahilyabai Ghat when I was riverbank of the Ganges. I also saw it from the river when I went boating in the morning. Although this is a wide ghat, it slopes, so there isn't many people here, except for dhobies doing laundry.
