Andhra Pradesh is a state on the southeastern part of India facing the Bay of Bengal. It covers 275,045 sq km (106,195 sq mi), and is the fourth largest state in the country. It borders Orissa to the northeast, Chhattisgarh to the north, Maharashtra to the northwest, Karnataka to the west and Tamil Nadu to the south.

Andhra Pradesh has a population of 77 million people (2011 estimate). It is the fifth most populous state in India. The capital and largest city is Hyderabad.

The main gateway to Andhra Pradesh is the Hyderabad International Airport, which gets direct connectivity with cities in many countries. There are also domestic airports in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati.
