Haryana (हरियाणा) is a state in northeastern India. It covers 44,212 sq km (17,070 sq mi) and has a population of 21 million people (2011 estimate). The state borders Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to the north, Rajastan to the west and south, and Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh across the Yamuna River to the east.

With a per capita income of र 67,891, it is one of the wealthiest states in India. The state capital is Chandigarh while the largest city is Faridabad.
As with Gujarat, Haryana also forms part of the Indus Valley and Vedic Civilizations. The Yamuna-Ghaggar plain forms the largest part of Haryana. To the northeast of the state are the Shivalik Hills while the Aravalli Range is in the south.

Going to Haryana
The most practical way to reach Haryana from overseas is to fly to Delhi and then take land transport from there. You can take a train from Delhi to Faridabad, the largest city of the state.
