Hagia Maria Sion Abbey, formerly called the Abbey of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, is a Benedictine abbey to the southwest of Old Jerusalem, on Mount Zion. The abbey was renamed in 1998 after the church of Hagia Maria which once stood on that spot.

It is believed that Hagia Maria Sion Abbey stood at the place where the Virgin Mary passed away. The present abbey was constructed in the year 1900 and was called the Basilica of the Assumption.
