Arashiyama District is a district on the western outskirts of Kyoto, Japan. It is a place noted for its scenic beauty - although a visit there will show you how much commercialism has descended here, with shops selling all sorts of souvenirs. Nonetheless, looking past all that, you will be rewarded with untamed landscape of natural beauty.
