Daigo-ji Temple is a Shingon Buddhist temple in Fushimi ward, Kyoto. The temple is home to several structures that are regarded as National Treasures of Japan. In total, there are 18 specifically designated national treasures at Daigo-ji.

Perhaps the most outstanding of the National Treasures of Japan at Daigo-ji is its five-storey pagoda. Built in AD 951, it is the only one of two Heian-era pagodas still in existence.

 More than seven centuries after its founding, Daigo-ji Temple attracted the attention of the shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi after visiting it. This resulted in the restoration of its subtemple, Sanpo-in, where Hideyoshi held a cherry blossom viewing party.

One of the major attractions at Daigo-ji Temole are the maple leaves in autumn and cherry blossoms in early spring.
