 Jinbocho, Tokyo
Jinbocho is a neighbourhood of Tokyo within Chiyoda ward. It is officially known as Kanda-Jinbocho. As in the case of most neighborhoods of the metropolis, Kanda-Jinbocho is centered on the railway station, the Jinbocho Station, at the intersection of two streets, Yasukuni-dori and Hakusan-dori.

Kanda-Jinbocho got its name from a 17th century samurai, Nagaharu Jinbo, who once resided there. Today the Jinbocho area is a popular destination for second-hand books and curios. The first bookstore in Jinbocho was opened around 1913 by a university professor, Shigeo Iwanami, who bought an outlet for his store after a large fire destroyed much of the buildings there. That bookstore grew to become the Iwanami Shoten Publishing House.
How to go to Jinbocho
Just take the Tokyo subway to the Jinbocho Station. It is served by the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line (Z-07), Toei Mita Line (I-10) and Toei Shinjuku Line (S-06).
