Jingo-ji Temple is a Shingon Buddhist temple in the Takao mountains to the northwest of downtown Kyoto, Japan. It is located above the Kiyotaki River. Its honzon, or object of devotion, is a statue of Yakushi Nyorai, the Buddha of Healing.

Jingo-ji Temple was established in AD 824, the result of the merger of Jingan-ji and Takaosan-ji, two earlier temples established by Wake no Kiyomaro (AD733-AD799), a high-ranking Japanese official of the Nara period. The temple is home to as many as sixteen National Treasures of Japan. They include the honzon and other statues.
Many of the buildings at Jingo-ji are reconstructions, as the original burned down a long time ago, particularly during the turbulent times of the Onin War. The only building that is believed to be original is the Daishi-do, but even then, its date of construction is uncertain.
