Katsura Imperial Villa, Kyoto
Katsura Imperial Villa is an exquisitely designed villa located in Katsura, Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto. It is celebrated for its flawless attention to detail, particularly in incorporating the surrounding landscape into the design.
Katsura Imperial Villa was built by the imperial prince Hachijo no Miya Toshihito in 1620. It was added upon later by his son Toshitada.
