Oshino is a picturesque village Yamanishi prefecture in rural Japan. Oshino is renowned for the subterranean spring water of Mount Fuji, and this water is used to brew beer and make the delicious Oshino buckwheat noodles. A trip to Oshino is in the itinerary of the AsiaExplorers Japan heritage tour (the tour happens twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn). When I visited, it has just started to snow in Oshino (although it was already April at that time). The snow gave the village a most pleasant appearance.
