Stall at Kiu Kacham where we had a late dinner.

Kiu Kacham, like Phou Khoun which we passed through earlier, is not a tourist destination. It is simply another stopover point for trips between Phonsavan and Luang Prabang. I stopped here with members of AsiaExplorers on our long journey to Luang Prabang. We arrived very late at night, and had our dinner at a roadside stall.

The town was almost dead. The street lights were dim, and there were just a few shops open. I took out my camera to take a few night shots of Kiu Kacham. I enjoyed town in darkness. I saw a young boy doing his homework by the light of a single bulb while at the same time minding the stall.

From Kiu Kacham, we continued our journey heading towards Luang Prabang, arriving close to midnight. It gives me an endearing glimpse at life in rural Laos at night.
