Vat Ong Teu, also written Wat Ong Teu, is a Buddhist temple along Setthathilath Road. The name, which means "Temple of the Heavy Buddha", refers to a Buddha image at the rear of the sim, or ordination hall.

Vat Ong Teu is also a monastery and monastic school. Novices from all over Laos come here to study Buddhism. Thus it is one of the most important religious centres of Buddhism education in the country.
