Wat Phan Luang Travel Information

Wat Phan Luang is an out-of-the-way monastery located on the other side of Nam Khan river from Luang Prabang. To reach it, I had to take a tuk tuk across the Nam Khan. The tuk tuk driver had to ask around before we finally arrive at this monastery.

From its appearance, Wat Phan Luang is neglected, and probably served as the village temple. The boathouse was crude and looked like it was about to fall apart. There is not much information about Wat Phan Luang that I was able to collect. I do not know when it was built, for example, and by whom. If you have the answer, please let me know.
