Grand Lisboa is one of the latest casinos in downtown Macau. It is housed in an iconic building which comprises a dome foyer and a 58-storey 261-meter (856-feet) tall skyscraper, the tallest and arguably most prominent skyscraper in Macau.
Grand Lisboa is owned by Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau, which also runs the Casino Lisboa across the road. Both are the properties of gambling mogul Stanley Ho.
The casino and restaurants at Grand Lisboa opened for business on 11 February, 2007 while the hotel began operations in December 2008. Housed in permanent display at the Casino Grand Lisboa is the Star of Stanley Ho, the largest cushion-shaped diamond in the world.
