 St Joseph's Church, Macau by lidxplus and used under GNU Free Documentation License The St Joseph's Seminary and Church in Macau was opened in 1758. The church, or Igreja de São José, has two brick roofed towers, and was a favourite among artists. St Joseph's Church is laid out in cruciform shape, with a high domed ceiling. The excellent acoustics of the church makes it an ideal venue of concerts, including the annual International Music Festival. There is a door beside the altar that leads to a walled garden with an ancient well and a plant nursery. Return to Macau Travel Guide
