Air Hangat Village was formerly known as Telaga Air Hangat. Air Hangat is located about 14 kilometers outside of Kuah Town. It has since been redeveloped into a new (and in the opinion of AsiaExplorers, rather plastic) entertainment complex that covers some four acres.
The humble hot springs, from which the place got its name, has been renovated into a 3-tier hot-spring fountain, complete with an 18 meter hand-carved riverstone mural depicting the legends of Air Hangat. Entertainment programme at Air Hangat Village includes Malaysian and ASEAN cultural dances and traditional sports and games, live displays of Malaysian/ASEAN customs, Malay folk and classical dances
and demonstrations of traditional Malay art and crafts such as batik-painting, congkat playing and foot massage.
Air Hangat Village also offers a selection of duty-free shopping, as well as Malaysian, Thai, and Indonesian cuisine served in its on-site theatre restaurant. Air Hangat is open from 10 am to 10pm daily.
