The All Saints Church at Jalan Taming Sari (Main Road), Taiping, is the oldest Anglican church in the Federated Malay States. It stands on a plot of land donated by W.V. Drummond, an estate owner from Shanghai.

The original structure of the All Saints Church was designed by Australian architect G.A. Lefroy. It was completed in 1886 and consecrated in 1887, along Main Road, now called Jalan Taming Sari. Within its compound are the graves of the British officers who expired while on duty away from their homeland. Today their intricate tombstones are of much interest to heritage enthusiasts.

Two of the most exquisite treasures within the All Saints Church are its stained glass windows and its pipe organ. The pipe organ is now used only on special occasions.

The All Saints Church is one of the stops during a recently conducted Site Visit by the Penang Heritage Trust of which I am a council member.
