Arau is the royal town of Perlis. It is located near the border of Kedah, about 14 kilometers from Kangar. The main sight of interest here is Istana Arau, the royal palace, which is actually not open to the public.

Getting there

By Road
Arau is located on the Changlun-Kuala Perlis Highway (Federal Route 194). Exit the North South Expressway (E1) at Changlun, Kedah.
