History of Bangsar

Bangsar was formerly a rubber plantation from the turn of the 20th century until the 1960's. Kuala Lumpur Rubber and Bangsar Estate were the owners of rubber plantations here. In the 1950's the rubber plantations begin to make way for development. Several companies had their staff quarters here, including Malayan Railway and the National Electricity Board.

Getting there

Take the Kelana Jaya Line to the Bangsar LRT Station. If driving, you can use the New Pantai Expressway, the Sprint Expressway (E23), the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) or the Kerinchi Link.
