The Berjaya Times Square is a massive retail development in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. I visited and photographed it for AsiaExplorers as part of the documentation of sights within Kuala Lumpur. The Berjaya Times Square project is lauded by its developers as the world's largest building ever built in a single phase. It has a total built-up area of 7.5 million square feet, and consists of a shopping complex and two tower blocks housing five star hotels.
There are 1000 retail outlets and 1200 luxury service suites at Berjaya Times Square, which also boasts of Asia's largest indoor theme park, Cosmo's World and Malaysia's first IMAX 2D & 3D theatre. The Borders bookstore in Berjaya Times Square is the biggest in the world. The Kuala Lumpur Monorail's Imbi Station is linked to Berjaya Times Square with a footbridge.
