Brooke Memorial is a 6-metre tall granite obelisk in front of the Court House in Kuching.
The Brooke Memorial.
As its name suggests, the Brooke Memorial was put up in honour of one of Sarawak's white rajahs, in this case, Charles Brooke, the second rajah. It was commissioned in 1924. At each corner of the four corners of the Brooke Memorial is a bronze figure representing the Sarawakian community: Dayak, Kayan, Malay and Chinese.
