The Bukit Puteri Bell is a bell, or genta, located at the top of Bukit Puteri above Kuala Terengganu. It was cast during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin III, in 1908. It replaced an earlier bell made during the reign of Sultan Umar in 1853.

The present Bukit Puteri Bell measures 228 cm in circumference and 78 cm in height. It weighs about 175 kg. The bell was made of yellow copper by Wan Ali bin Wan Awang, a coppersmith with assistance of craftsmen from Kampung Tanjung and Kampung Paya near Maziah Palace.

Initially the Bukit Puteri Bell was taken care of by the sultan's personal servants. Later a caretaker, Ali bin Abdullah, was appointed to look after it. It is kept in a bell house called Pondok Genta.

The Bukit Puteri bell was struck whenever there is a need to call the people of Kuala Terengganu, whether to alert them of an impending danger such as an enermy attack or someone running amok. Needless to say, whenever it was sounded, it caused much alarm and panic among the folks living in the town below.
