About Gunung Santubong

Gunung Santubong, or Mount Santubong, is the tallest peak on the Santubong Peninsula north of Kuching. It is 810 meters tall. At the very tip of the peninsula is another mountain, the 355 meter Gunung Sipang.

Among the activities for visitors to Gunung Santubong include jungle trekking. There is a 2-km jungle trek from the Damai Puri Resort (formerly Holiday Inn Resort Damai Lagoon) that ends near the Sarawak Cultural Village. The trek passes a nice waterfall along the way.

Getting there

Best to go there by taxi from Kuching. Expect to pay around RM20-RM25 for the trip. Nearest bus reach Kampung Buntal and Kampung Santubong.
