Gunung Brinchang, also called Gunung Batu Brinchang, is a peak on the northern side of Cameron Highlands. It holds the distinction of being the tallest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia that is accessible by road. I have visited Gunung Brinchang a couple of times whenever I went to explore the Mossy Forest, which is located close to the peak of the mountain.

Like the Mossy Forest, Gunung Brinchang is entered through the hill lane near Ee Feng Gu Honey Bee Farm in Brinchang. From there, you would pass the Sg Palas Boh Tea Plantation. A left fork on the winding country road leads up Gunung Brinchang. You will pass the Mossy Forest on your right before arriving at the peak. At 2032 metres (6666 feet), Gunung Brinchang is the second tallest mountain in Cameron Highlands.
From here, you get a panoramic view all around, with Cameron Highlands and Pahang on one side, and Perak, all the way down to Ipoh on the other. The nearest peak from Gunung Brinchang is Gunung Irau, the tallest peak in Cameron Highlands. There are treks from the mossy forest to Gunung Irau. I would encourage you to get an experienced ecological guide should you contemplate a hiking trip to Gunung Irau.
