Ho Ann Kiong Temple is the oldest Chinese temple in Kuala Terengganu. Located along Jalan Kampung Cina in the city's Chinatown, the temple is believed to date back to 1801. It has been recognised as of heritage value by UNESCO.

 The Ho Ann Kiong Temple is the main temple of the Hokkien community that populates Kampung Cina, located within the city centre of Kuala Terengganu. Today the area is a touristic enclave. Investigations show that no arson or sabotage was involved.

Update: 23 February 2010
Exactly a year ago, as I wrote this (23 February 2011), the Ho Ann Kiong Temple was damaged by a fire which destroyed large portions of it. The fire was sighted about 9:30 pm by people living nearby, but they could not enter the temple premises to douse the fire as the front entrance was locked.
