Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur

Jalan Sultan Ismail is a major road through Kuala Lumpur. Formerly known as Treacher Road, the road may have been renamed after Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah, who was the fourth Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia (1965-1970) and Sultan of Terengganu.

Jalan Sultan Ismail runs diagonally through the city, and pass through the central business district of the city, also known as the Golden Triangle. The street starts at the intersection with Jalan Imbi and Jalan Kampung Pandan. Major roads intersecting with Jalan Sultan Ismail, from south to north include Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Ampang, Ampang Elevated Highway, Jalan Raja Abdullah, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and Jalan Raja Laut, before ending at Jalan Kuching. Minor roads intersecting with Jalan Raja Laut are Jalan Bulan 2, Jalan Walter Grenier, Jalan Berangan, Jalan Beremi and Jalan Tengah.

The elevated tracks of the KL Monorail follows the course of Jalan Sultan Ismail starting from the intersection with Jalan Imbi to the intersection with Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. Along the way are four monorail stations namely the Bukit Bintang Monorail Station, Raja Chulan Monorail Station, Bukit Nanas Monorail Station and Medan Tuanku Monorail Station.
Near the end of Jalan Sultan Ismail, the RapidKL Ampang Line crosses the street. The Sultan Ismail LRT Station is on the south side of the street, across from Takaful Ikhlas.
Jalan Sultan Ismail has one of the highest concentration of shopping malls and skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur.
