Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Kuala Lumpur

Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, or simply Jalan Cheng Lock, is a major road in the inner city of Kuala Lumpur. It runs right through the city centre, starting from Jalan Tun Sambanthan in the west to Jalan Pudu in the east, at the junction with Jalan Tun Perak.

Jalan Cheng Lock was originally called Foch Avenue. It was renamed in honour of the late Tun Tan Cheng Lock, the first president of the Malayan Chinese Association, one of the component parties in the ruling Federal Government.
Among the roads that intersect with Jalan Cheng Lock are, from west to east, Jalan Hang Kasturi, Jalan Tun HS Lee, Petaling Street, Jalan Sultan and Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin. Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin was named after the son of Tan Cheng Lock.
How to reach Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock
Take the light rail transit Kelana Jaya Line to the Pasar Seni LRT Station. Walk north from the LRT Station and the first main road you reach is Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock.
