Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin, Kuala Lumpur

Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin is a street in the inner city of Kuala Lumpur. It was originally known during the British colonial times as Cross Street. It was renamed in honour of Tun Tan Siew Sin, the first Minister of Commerce and Industry of Malaya, and then for the subsequent 15 years (1959-1974), the Finance Minister. Tun Tan Siew Sin also served as the third president of the Malayan Chinese Association, or MCA, a political party that forms the ruling alliance in the Federal Government.

Jalan Tun Tun Siew Sin starts from the intersection with Medan Pasar, Jalan Benteng and Lebuh Ampang. It ends at the intersection with Jalan Pudu and Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, which incidentally, was named in honour of his father. In between it intersects with Jalan Yap Ah Loy, Jalan Hang Lekiu, Lebuh Pudu and Lorong Pudu.
How to reach Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin
Take the Ampang Line or Kelana Jaya Line of the RapidKL LRT to the Masjid Jamek LRT Station, then walk southeast down Jalan Tun Perak to reach the intersection with Lebuh Ampang. Turn right and walk down Lebuh Ampang until you reach intersection of Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin on your left.
