The KTM Headquarters is the last of the many Mughal-style buildings erected in Kuala Lumpur. Located along Jalan Hishamuddin, it blends in nicely with the appearance of the Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station across the road.
As with the Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, the KTM Headquarters building is often said to be built in the "Moorish" style, which is incorrect. Rather was built in the Mughal style adopted by British architect from the Public Works Department, Arthur Benison Hubback, as a style that is majestic and appropriate for Kuala Lumpur.
