Kuala Klawang Travel Guide, Negri Sembilan

Kuala Klawang is a small town, administrative centre for Mukim Kuala Klawang, in Jelebu District, Negri Sembilan. The town is in a forested area surrounded by a number of Malay reserve lands.
There are two sights of note in Kuala Klawang. The first is the Kuala Klawang Memorial, built by the locals in the 19th century to honour Queen Victoria. The memorial is located on a hillock and can be reached by a flight of steps. From the top, you can get a good view of the town below.
If you are coming from Seremban, you will pass the other attraction, Jeram Toi Waterfall. Discovered in 1895, the waterfall has been spruced up into a forest recreational park called Hutan Lipur Jeram Toi. The waterfall cascades from the Telapak Buruk Mountain.
The Jeram Toi waterfall was named after an Orang Asli woman, Tok Batin Toi. There was a story that Tok Batin Toi helped the Orang Asli defeat the warriors from Rawa, Sumatra. She served the unsuspecting warriors a wild fruit called perah. The perah was not properly cooked, and as a result, the warriors became intoxicated and was easily overcome.
