About Kuala Muda District

Kuala Muda District is located in central Kedah. It is bordered by Yan District to the northwest, Pendang District to the north, Sik District to the northeast, Baling District and Kulim District to the southeast, and Penang to the south. Kuala Muda District has a total area of 923 sq km.

The district capital of Kuala Muda District is Sungai Petani, the second largest town in Kedah after Alor Setar.
