The Industrial Court or Mahkamah Perusahaan Building was built by one of Kuala Lumpur's first multimillionaires, Loke Yew, and opened in September 1905. The architect was AK Moosdeen, who is also credited for the design of Loke Yew's shophouse at Medan Pasar. When the building was opened, the Malay Mail described it as one of the handsomest edifice of its kind ever erected in Kuala Lumpur.
