About Lingzhi Museum
Lingzhi Museum is a museum in Kota Kinabalu celebrating the goodness of the medicinal mushroom called Lingzhi (Ganoderma lucidum). At this museum, you can get to see on display some amazing specimens of lingzhi that have been collected in Sabah.
Lingzhi is linked to the elixer of immortality, in the story associated with the Moon Cake Festival. In that story, the cruel emperor Hou Yi forced the people of the village to look for a magical fungi that, once he consumed it, he would live forever. The Lingzhi Museum is located at Jalan Kepayan, about 15 minutes from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
