Lundu, Sarawak

About Lundu
Lundu is a town in the Lundu district, Kuching Division of Sarawak. It can be considered the gateway to the westernmost part of Sarawak, and particularly for visits to the Gunung Gading National Park nearby. The Pan Borneo Highway goes through Lundu and continues on to the major towns of Sarawak on its way north to Brunei and Sabah.
There is nothing of particular significance at Lundu for you to prolong your stop here. It has a town centre with some old warehouses and a big Rafflesia Monument near the bus station.
Should you ever find yourself in Lundu, make a trip to the nearby beaches of Siar and Pandan, respectively 8.5 km and 10 km away.
Getting there
Take STC Bus No. EP7 from Kuching for RM8.30. The journey takes 1 1/2 hours. From Lundu, Bus 2B goes to Pandan and Siar. The fare is RM1.50.
