Makam Purba is a prehistoric graveyard at Hutan Buluh, in an area surrounding by paddy fields in Ulu Melaka, Langkawi. There are two ancient graves here. The National Museum Department has concluded that Makam Purba could be of Achenese origin, and quite likely for someone of high standing. The graves are located close to the first mosque to be built on Langkawi. There is great possibility that Makam Purba may belong to Muslim scholars that travelled to Langkawi to spread the religion.
