About Masjid Al-Hana, Langkawi
Masjid Al-Hana is the main mosque in Kuah, Langkawi. It was completed in 1959, and officiated by the first prime minister of Malaysia, the late Tunku Abdul Rahman. It is located along Persiaran Putra, near the Kompleks Jeti Pelancongan and Kompleks Pekan Rabu.
Masjid Al-Hana incorporates Islamic motif from Uzbekistan into the Malay architectural design. The mosque as a gilded main dome and numerous smaller domes that look like blobs of sugar icing on a cake.
