Masjid Negara of TTI
The Masjid Negara of Taman Tamadun Islam, Kuala Terengganu, is a replica of an Islamic monument in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was built to coincide with the formation of Malaysia. In keeping with the aspiration of the new nation, the mosque was constructed of concrete rather than a more organic form of construction material. The umbrella motif is used in the design, with the main prayer hall having a roof that resembles an open umbrella, while the minaret is topped with a pointed tip resembling a folded one.
