Mohammad Ali Mosque of TTI
The Mohammad Ali Mosque of Taman Tamadun Islam, Kuala Terengganu, is a replica of a famous Islamic monument in Cairo, Egypt. The Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha is located in the Citadel of Cairo. Built between 1830 and 1848, it is the most renowned mosque in the city. It was built by Muhammad Ali Pasha, the Albanian commander of the Ottoman army who was the Wali of Egypt, in memory of his eldest son Tusun Pasha.
The Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha was built in the Ottoman style reminiscent of the mosques in Istanbul. To learn more about the actual building, please visit my page on the Muhammad Ali Pasha Mosque of Cairo.
