 Muar District, Johor
Muar District is a district to the northwest of Johor. It used to comprise the whole area from Batu Pahat District right up to the border with Malacca, but recently the district of Ledang was created out of Muar District. Now Muar District lies to the south of the Muar River only.
Muar District is now bordered by Ledang District to the west, Segamat District to the north, Batu Pahat District to the east, and the Straits of Malacca to the south.
The main town in Muar District is Muar. Other towns include Pagoh, Bakri, Parit Jawa, and Panchor.
