About Mulu Caves

Mulu Caves are the most famous cave system in Sarawak. They are one of the main reasons for visiting Gunung Mulu National Park. There are a number of caves which are open to the public. They are collectively known as the Show Caves, and I am listing them below for your convenience. Some of the caves, including the Sarawak Chamber, are not open to visitors because they are too inaccessible and dangerous.

If you are the adventurous type looking for something more than just a walk in the park, or the aforementioned caves, then you should contact tour operators in Miri or Kuching and ask for caving expeditions. Even the Sarawak Chamber can be visited, if you are prepared to cough out RM500 for the opportunity, and willing to spend 10-15 hours in utter darkness.
